From December 2025 through August 2026, I designed and operated an independent virtual coaching practice for international adults and professionals who wanted to communicate with greater confidence, clarity, and ease.The practice combined adult learning, individualized learning design, pronunciation and communication coaching, and end-to-end client support.

👋 About the Practice
I’m Marcos Cruz, an adult learning, training, and communication professional. I founded Speak with Marcos to create thoughtful, practical, and human learning experiences for adults who wanted to feel more natural and confident when speaking English.My background in theatre, anthropology, adult ESL education, program support, and cross-cultural communication shaped the practice. Theatre taught me to pay attention to voice, presence, and expression. Anthropology taught me to notice culture, identity, and context. Together, those perspectives helped me approach English as a living communication skill, not simply grammar on a page.Speak with Marcos gave me the opportunity to design learning materials, facilitate virtual coaching, manage client systems, develop outreach, and improve the complete learner experience from intake through follow-up.

What I Built and Managed
• Developed the Speak with Marcos brand, website, service model, and client journey.• Created structured learning frameworks, lesson plans, slide decks, practice activities, and follow-up resources for individualized adult learning.• Managed intake, goal-setting, scheduling, access instructions, payments, client communication, session preparation, delivery, and follow-up workflows.• Facilitated personalized virtual coaching and guided clients through Zoom access and technology troubleshooting when necessary.• Planned and promoted content across three paid Instagram campaigns, generating more than 782,000 ad views, 7,500 link clicks, and 11 message starts while testing audience targeting, messaging, and service positioning.

Who the Practice Was Designed For
Speak with Marcos was designed for international adults and professionals who used English in everyday, academic, or workplace settings. Coaching addressed goals such as pronunciation, conversational clarity, presentations, interviews, professional communication, confidence, and real-time speaking.
Coaching Approach
Each learning experience was shaped around the individual’s goals, communication barriers, confidence level, cultural background, and professional context. Rather than following a fixed curriculum, I used listening, observation, guided practice, repetition, and personalized feedback to make progress relevant and immediately usable.
How Sessions Were Delivered
Sessions were delivered live through Zoom and supported by visual explanations, guided practice, customized learning materials, and follow-up resources. Activities drew from real conversations, workplace situations, presentations, interviews, and other communication moments that mattered to the learner.The client experience also included intake, goal-setting, preparation, clear access instructions, technology support, ongoing communication, and adjustments based on learner feedback.
